I am LaShundra D. Richmond and I happily & humbly serve as Legacy Prep 4-8's school leader. For over 15 years, I've served in a variety of capacities that has afforded me a lens into the constant evolving educational landscape at the local, state & national levels and have spent years directly serving my hometown of the great bluff city, Memphis, TN & the Mid-South region as an educator, educational leader, non-profit leader, community change agent; spiritual leader & voice, before venturing to serve in other roles across the country. I've worked in both the public & private K-12 school sectors and in collegiate spaces, as classroom teacher, school leader, international academic officer, adjunct professor, marketing & media specialist, curriculum designer and teacher coach. 

Throughout my extensive and diverse career, I could be found in schools & classrooms, legislative hallways & urban communities as my combined passions for Education, Advocacy & Ministry claimed my time, efforts & energy. This work has continuously propelled me to other spaces across the country as I've specifically called San Diego, CA & Clearwater, FL home. My time in both California & Florida extended my impact, reach and influence in the areas of: Professional Development & Adult Learning, Marketing & Media, Strategic Planning, Parent & Community Engagement; Social-Emotional Learning; Gender-Specific Studies, School Design & Curriculum Development; and Race, Diversity, Inclusion & Equity.

 

I am honored to be a part of the Legacy Prep village and excited about the legacy that awaits our children and community throughout the city and state.
